Required Preparation:

  • Participants will be emailed pdfs of participant materials or will be directed to a download site.
  • Participants are responsible for printing and binding course materials.
  • Pens, pencils, and highlighers are also required.
  • ​A dual monitor or dual device configuration is highly recommended to allow for real-time practice.


This 2-day, 4-hours per day webinar provides participants with a structured, step-by-step approaches for conducting human factors analysis and application of mitigations, attention activators, and error proofing on problems in all areas of the organization.  Topics addressed include the importance of dealing with human factors as major source of non-conformances in all work areas; how to identify and prioritize human factors weaknesses and opportunities for improvement; how to develop and implement viable solutions; and how to test the validity and effectiveness of the solutions. The program is designed for all functions and levels of the organization, from management, marketing, sales, purchasing, accounting, human resources, and administration to design, manufacturing, quality, and technical services. 


Recommended Resources:

  • Participants are responsible for obtaining and bringing their own copies of the related AS standards to class for reference purposes; RM13000 and RM13010 and related standards are referenced, and links to reference materials are provided.
  • Participants are also encouraged to bring a notebook or laptop computer loaded with Microsoft Excel 2010 or higher and  Minitab 16 or higher; a computer is not mandatory but is highly recommended to be able to participate in classroom exercises. A trial version of Minitab is available at http://www.minitab.com/en-us/products/minitab/ .
